Material Composition: Pink anti-static bags are typically made from polyethylene treated with an anti-static agent. This treatment reduces surface resistivity, allowing static charges to dissipate safely rather than build up and discharge suddenly.

Charge Dissipation: These bags don’t generate static themselves and help neutralize any existing charge by allowing it to slowly bleed off into the environment. This is especially useful for handling items like cables or connectors that aren’t ultra-sensitive but still need protection.

Shielding (in other types): For more sensitive electronics like microchips or circuit boards, metallized shielding bags (usually silver or gray) are used. These act like a Faraday cage, blocking external static fields from reaching the contents.

Proper Handling: The effectiveness of anti-static bags also depends on how they’re used—sealing them properly, storing them in ESD-safe environments, and avoiding contact with static-prone surfaces all help maintain protection
